Our Mission

The Developmental Disabilities Alliance of Western New York (DDAWNY) is a collaborative group of member voluntary agencies that provide services to people with developmental disabilities.  While honoring individual agency missions, it is the intent of the Alliance to assist agencies to develop relationships, promote unified strategies and share risks for the mutual gain with and for the benefit of people with developmental disabilities.

Welcome to the newest Subcommittee of DDAWNY!

The Compliance Committee will be addressing the very important area of Corporate Compliance.  

We will had our second meeting on June 25th, 9:00am at Southeast Works (check with CoChairs to be sure about this location) - 181 Lincoln Street, Depew NY in the 2nd Floor Board Room

We look forward to meeting with you to discuss our committee charter, share best practices, and start to examine how our different agencies approach compliance.  This is a great opportunity to hear and share the latest in NYS compliance activities.

Please RSVP and if willing, bring your job description and plan to share how compliance is organized at your agency.

Conducting Serious Incident Investigations Training

will be held for 3 days on September 13-15, 2010.  Labor Relations Alternatives  is offering the course at the Community Services for the Developmentally Disabled 452 Delaware Ave. facility.  Participants who successfully complete the Conducting Serious Incident Investigations course and score 80 percent or higher on the exam will receive Level I Certification.
