Administrative Services Sub Committees
Welcome to the newest Subcommittee of DDAWNY! The Compliance Committee will be addressing the very important area of Corporate Compliance. We will had our second meeting on June 25th, 9:00am at Southeast Works (check with CoChairs to be sure about this location) - 181 Lincoln Street, Depew NY in the 2nd Floor Board Room We look forward to meeting with you to discuss our committee charter, share best practices, and start to examine how our different agencies approach compliance. This is a great opportunity to hear and share the latest in NYS compliance activities.

This committee focuses on consumer satisfaction, measuring, monitoring, and improving the quality of care provided, and development of quality systems. Issues examined include: customer satisfaction, individual rights, individual choices, standardization, outcome management, continuous quality improvement process, benchmarking and regulations. Discussions focus on areas of investigating untoward incidents, corporate compliance, HIPAA, regulatory survey trends and sharing of tools measuring for quality. Committee meets at least quarterly and utilizes presenters from the DDSO, DQA and the community.

The Transportation Information Clearinghouse is a new resource that is being offered to individuals with developmental disabilities in Western New York. The Clearinghouse is provided by DDAWNY and funded through a grant from the NYS DDPC (Developmental Disabilities Planning Council). The Clearinghouse will feature a database of information helping to link people with disabilities and the agencies that give them services with available transportation providers. The intent is to reduce transportation barriers to employment for these individuals. |
